With its distinctive warm and soft colors, Botticino marble exudes a subtle elegance. It originates from the Italian town of Botticino, known for its rich history of high-quality stone mining. More than 60 million years ago, the geological process of sedimentation, cementation and recrystallization shaped this marble from limestone mud full of organic life. The result of this ancient process is still evident today through fossil markings - tangible evidence of the biological richness that characterized its original environment. These fossilized remains are white in color and almond-shaped (so-called. Hence the name fiorito, Italian adjective – \"flowery\". This characteristic effect is the result of shades of calcium bicarbonate, uniquely distributed over the surface of the slab, creating a variegated appearance that is expressed in more or less intense shades of white. The “breaks” of color can be delicate or sharp, leaving a striking marble look. This type of Botticino is not the ideal choice for exterior projects, and will not offer the same performance and resistance to breakage as Botticino Classico and Botticino Semiclassico, which are better adapted to the challenges of outdoor environments. Botticino Fiorito stands out for its increasing popularity in Asia, especially in China and Korea, where there is a growing demand for this material. Botticino Creme slabs are usually cut crosswise (along the vein, so-called vein-cut) and are particularly uniform. Botticino Crema meets all interior requirements. However, it is not recommended for outdoor use, as this variety is more fragile than other varieties Botticina. With an average low availability at the level of all the quarries concentrated in the province of Brescia, Botticino Crema is extremely appreciated and sought after, especially in the Asian and Middle Eastern markets. Note: Stone is a material of natural origin and each stone slab is unique, therefore we recommend that you see a sample of the stone in one of our stores.
